Music - Biography

Verity came late to her music career and remains officially untrained to this day. This has not stopped her generating some of the most heartfelt and beautiful music anywhere in the industry today. Verity’s music is soulful, reflective and joyously uplifting. Nowhere in British music do we hear or see a woman singing about another woman, in a way that both men and women can relate to. Nor a woman who bravely chooses to speak about the challenge of relationships with others and herself, within popular music.  

Verity is currently based in the heart of England in Coventry where she has released two albums, Trust Again (2009) and The Journey (2010) under Silvery Records label. Live performances, ranging from regular music evenings through to large scale festival appearances ensure that Verity continues to grow a loyal following of fans of all ages, colours, shapes and sizes who connect with the honesty and passion of Verity’s music.  

"My songs come out because I need to express my thoughts and feelings through music. I put my heart and my truth into music as a means of expression that no other art form can fulfil. My honesty pours into the melodies and lyrics, sometimes heartbreakingly so. The depth has the potency to touch the listeners own inner truth and resonate with their outer circumstances…in life, love and relationships."

Verity’s songs are written in the rawest of moments – fresh from heartbreak, at the point of almost giving up…but being soft and lovingly persuasive, her songs aim to inspire others to look deeper at their own lives, feelings, and relationships. Her style can range from soft rock to classic acoustic and everywhere else in between. The style is used to suit the subject and is also reflected in titles of some of her most popular work including Best Dress, Divine You and Please Be.

Verity would be the first to admit to not knowing what the future holds but as with her career to date she will always be true to herself and those around her in all she does and how she does it. Plans are in place for to increase her standing within the international market place and to reach a wider audience of people yet to experience the philosophy, sound and soul of Verity Pabla.
